Trees of Mystery to Orick ca

Got out from the cabin real quick, nice little place, two more days out from Eureka, probably make Trinidad tomorrow, would try to go further but there isn't much available to stay, and they have all these 'no camping' signs in the forest.
The trip out of Klamath was okay, bit of a hill, then making the turn to the Scenic Route, saw some large redwood trees, they were big, but I guess the carpenter in me just looks at them as "how many board feet could I get out of one of those trees, no need for a glue-lam beam", big trees....Wow....








So made it to Orick Ca, small I guess logging community, only hotel in town was the Palm, the other hotel was full, I guess, as it also looked like it had some structural issues.  Couldn't get the trailer into the room, but I am hopeful that it will be left alone, people here seem okay.

Trip to Bangs...Pop 1500er so....

 It was supposed to be overcast maybe even some rain on saturday, it wasn't, it was hot the whole way there. I filled up bags of cans to recycle, it's a very cheap hobby, that pays, and best of all I found over three pounds of copper, and a handful of brass. Did a good deed, returned a debit card to the Texas Bank location, looked like someone was pulling that magical device out of her pocket and the debit card fell to the ground....I assume the bank people picked it up when they were unlocking the doors on monday. Also found a leather toolbag, with tools in it. This is the hill to get out of Brownwood, as the city is in kind of a bowl that creates sort of a weather bubble to keep the rain out. Made it, 9ish miles, not much to see, was looking for those junk stores that were there when I first rode past, they weren't open.  Didn't find my fellow dumpster diver's place either.  Found this pen and ink, sadly the tag that tells you who the artist is was vaguely stapled on, but the tag for how to hang it, oh that's on there like monkey going through puberty. Reminds me of someone..... I think that says Gary??? anyone else able to read medical scribing?
