Made it to the next warmshowers host, but sadly I couldn't get the surly trailer past the sand dunes in the road.
There were a couple of what I hope were control burns on about the 253 mile marker if hwy 101, but it didn't do much to dry things out.
Also found a live bullet, got to keep your ordinance tight people, so got it out of the roadway, just one 9mm round can ruin your day.
Found a nice room at the Lamplighter Inn, true had to pay for a nicer room since my trailer wouldn't fit up the steps in their other rooms, nice room, clean, no scent of 'there used to be people smoking here', which I have found in a few other motels along this route.
Though the room did have the 'mojo' of the 70s, it had two large beds, which just said Boom Boom Room to me...
Speaking of the trailer, finally got replacement bolts for the drive side, do not understand why this is backwards, the axles came installed backwards, that means as the wheels turn, they loosen the bolts that hold the wheels on, so had to reverse the axles, and finally I have the correct bolt holding the wheel on, only it's the bolt for what surly says is for the other side.
Hey, it works so stop complaining.
Some sad news, I think some of my supplements were stolen at the Mcdonalds, true it's only a bottle of DHEA(for metabolizing cholesterol), L-arginine(amino acid), and a bottle of Gluclosomine(for joints), just sad someone would steal something just to be a jerk.
Other than that in Coos Bay, the crazy homeless guy with the large pipe in one hand, and the bottle booze in the other(not an full bottle either) harassing people in the parking lot of Mcdonalds.
Shopped at a Dollar General store here in Bandon, sort of like the food section at a drug store, only without the drugs, got some good soup there, so pop the top, and drink em down...
Wonder what other new stores I will get to shop at???
I think Port Orford is a next do-able goal, and I could be in California by next week.
