Talk about a day without end

So made it to Lincoln City Oregon, should have stopped sooner, got caught in a nothing that can help me place, and no place safe to stop...
As I was leaving yesterday, from McMinnville, there was another cyclist who was caught in the same situation I was, I think he might have been the one I saw moving around every hour or so, he was having a worse day than I was...
Hwy 18 was okay for quite a while, long stretches of wide open road,

but then about where Grand Ronde has a casino the hill changes, wasn't going to stop at the casino, just seems to suck the life out of things around it...so kept riding, got up to Murphy pass 760ft, then started to go down, then up, down, then up.  Saw a safe place to park the bike/trailer, but it seemed a bit cold and my sleeping bag is a bit damp, should have made a go of it there.  Doh!
But anyway, found a good cheap place to dip into the contingency fund, Ashley Inn seems to have been well maintained and Cleaned, very important thing I have noticed when going from rooms people smoked in to rooms people want to breath in, if the place was never cleaned it doesn't mater if people don't smoke in the room anymore, Ashley has been done well.

With all those hills I encountered, so glad I divested myself of a few pounds of weight, going to have to purge a bit more of the clothes, and simplify what's on top of the bins.  I did not know how fast that would have to happen, as I was hoping that I could slowly throw away some clothes little by little.

I don't think I'll have time here, but with all the drama in Portland, I'll just order the Surly parts I need and have my support peeps express them to me when I get a bit further down the road and to a place I can stay for a bit.  Until then the fix I made seems to be holding, since JBLM, here's a pic of it,
a bolt that's smaller than the hole, but when you cram pieces of aluminum can into the hole it shoves the aluminum out and gives the bolt something to hold onto, when you don't want to destroy the axle at the same time...

Saw this on Hwy 30, a red carpet dragon trike... needs a little work.
