Silver bracelet, woot!

Image
Weighing in at just over an ounce, this bracelet was found by moi and it looks pretty silver to me, there are no marks, not even one for a maker, which means it's really old or made in a country that doesn't give a c**p to put one on there.  Might have to get the acid kit to test it.... I found it in front of the dumpster, so it either fell out of the bin when they dumped it or someone else who goes pickin' in the skip lost it...the clasp isn't that good.....but mines now....bwawawawaha. And Silver is over $71 per ounce today, woot!

Didn't have a jackhammer, so I was patient.....

I've seen this bit of brass poking it's threaded self out of the crosswalk for over a year, couldn't get it to budge, then eventually the tab on the side of it became visible, all the trucks driving over it. THen it was really hot, so not only could I see the tab but the white goop of the crosswalk was also malleable in the heat, so wiped out the knife, and pried this sucker out of the ground, all that brass, mines...and the money to get from all that brass. look at that bit of copper wire too.  And if that was success enough, I found an "old timer" knife to go along with it....

Gojira vs Mothra

Saw this dinosaur on the roadside dying, so added another dinosaur.

Corn along the roadside

I noticed a while back there was some deer corn that had spilled out of someone's truck.   Well here it is after a couple of weeks of rain.

Oak Pimp Cane with 1964 Kennedy half dollar

Image
I find so much good stuff in the dumpster, and after I grabbed an oak cane to help shove the stuff aside I waved it around, good pimp cane I thought, and then I noticed the 1964 silver half dollar embedded into the top of the cane. WOOT! That's $15 to $20 for just the silver coin, and it's a cool oak cane.

Say Hello to Mr. FAFO

Image
I was on my monday morning run this morning, and I saw something crittering in the road ahead, first thought it might be some really big scorpions, which I need to find a brick an go Planned Parenthood on their asses.... But instead it was I think a crawdad, that had for some reason crawled up out of the stream that's about a block from the road. And without further adieu, Mr. FAFO.....

Chicken Coop no more, now storage palace.

Image
I've had this chicken coop that was supposedly a kids playhouse in the past, eh I don't see it. This is after I took the drywall and insulation out, more headroom is important to those of us who aren't short.  There are some straps that hold the roof on, so someone who did not work on the house did this coop. This is before, not a bad job of sheetrock, but had to go. Down below the window is a leftover from the guests who would break into this thing when the house was abandon. Kind of dark out today... Shelves made from the floor I bought for the other shed, never put the fancy floor in, so had leftover metal. Level with the window sill, and I used some fancy trim pieces for a shelf above the window and I've been looking for something to use those circle brackets decorations to put a shelf on. Now to sort the boxes of stuff I'm going to put in here.
