Escape, with it's own set of problems.

Just finished the painting of a doorway, which is the last major project I will finish on this house, it was the last project I did thinking I was going to be here forever, bamboo flooring on the walls, dark trim, moulding, perfect hand hammered brass Moroccan pendant light(it was $13 at Goodwill), and $40 worth of copper rain chain, and it looks like the $2400 fancy. Lets hope it sells the house.

Fixie oh darling Fixie

I snagged this fixed gear bike from a Craigslist free listing, it needed a tire.  Then I rode it around for a while, it was kind of fun, then I added a disc to the freewheel side of the flip flop free fix hub, then installed a disc brake. Still wasn't done, I had an Aventon frame sitting in a box as I thought it might be good enough for that cycle truck I made(later made that with a different frame), and I put the wheels, cranks, pedals, and brake from the freebie bike onto the new aluminium Aventon frame, dialed it in. And today I was on my way home, there was this lady on a multi speed bike, we passed each other a couple of times, then she passed me on 50th & Phinney, I drafted behind her for a few blocks, then at 54th I made a move to pass, 55th, left her behind, then at 59th I moved over to make my turn home, she came up from being a few lengths behind and said "I can't believe you passed me on that", I replied, you just have to push harder.... Today I al

I parked this bike's info on the 529 garage, so hopefully if it gets stolen while I'm out on the road I might get it back. It was a freebie, as a friend used it, and had some obvious problems, I had to replace two spokes on the front rim, then re-true both wheels as Kona went cheap with their wheel building, I think they used the same size spokes for the non-disc as they did for the disc, so the machine that straightened the wheels did so 'within tolerance', which means both wheels were about 3/8" off center when installed. Nothing dangerous, but after a long hall it might make you out of alignment and make you hurt.  I also replaced the brakes, all of it, as the hydraulic brakes it came with weren't too dependable. So gonna put the trailer on the back of it, and load up for the trip. I still need to get the right angle on the seat, but pointing it down in front saves the groin area, oh an a suspension seat post.  Next is to put a rear rack on it. I have

Downsizing is going well

Made $250 so far this weekend, true it doesn't come close to the money I spent on the Terra Trike, but getting money out of an old trike that was just rusting away in the basement, that's a win. Next up is a Velocino bike I made out of several bikes, and a bike stand I made out of a half loop bike rack, all profit. So I'm on my way, I'm on my wayyy, to a new forever home, home sweet home. Have a plan for the pop up tent, and a cushion, probably one of those yoga mats that are so popular.  I was thinking that the tent cot might be the thing, but I just don't want to drag it around with me, too much hassle, I want simple. Stay on mission, stay on target, execute.
First post, the goal, to find that someplace, maybe find people that don't feel like I just got out of a lake and I'm covered in leaches. Except for my Navy days, a few vacations, I've lived all my life in Seattle, it no longer exists. I'm the Sneech without a star on my tummy, I ask myself why should I waste any more of my life feeding a system that doesn't work for me. Back in middle school I lucked into the advance math class, I wasn't a prodigy, but I was doing the work, a month in that class, I worked hard, then the school took me out of that class because some kid who had "gotten off drugs" they wanted to reward him, and they said everything but "we know your going to do drugs so maybe we will reward you when you get off drugs", see there's only one reward for not doing drugs, not being a junkie, then you get the bill for everyone else who's doing drugs. And as an adult, it's the same thing, junkies need this/that, I get
