Kitchen Counters and Vanity

Image
Got the tile for the kitchen counter, still haven't gotten my $10 off coupon for HD, so the backsplash tile is still waiting at the store for me to buy it. The tile for the vanity arrived same day I was working on the drawer fascia, solid wood, needs sanding and paint. Ground off the extra metal under the sink so it will sit flush, and it will fit. Little tiles means no cutting. And here's the Floating Vanity, Here's just the plywood carcass. And here's after I applied the wood.  Okay, from above you can see the lines, but not from standing there....as you can see the white mesh and the white mastic leave the color of the tile pretty much the same as the top pic.  The dark grout should tone that down a bit. And here's the vanity with the purdy bowl sink, as you can see I painted the wood blue so it would hide all the wood fill, everything is drying right now, even the backsplash on the vanity, it gets warm here, but I'm giving thi

Finished the rocking of the kitchen counter and the bathroom vanity, and made drawers for the vanity that will later have fascia pieces made from one piece of 1x8.  Drawers...  Solid, but the fascia will make them purdy.  Pink stuff, still waiting for it to dry into red. Rock in place, hope I come home to 11sqft of tile for the counter top.

Carefully the new kitchen is coming along....

I've got the farm table look going, and the first test fit of the sink has been done, and I think I've decided on the tile for the backsplash. The tin ceiling went well, nice an shiny which should help with light.  This is the wall before installing the table/kitchen counter.  These are the table legs I made out of the old porch posts.  Can't have enough clamps....  First two in place...  But first I installed a tin ceiling under where the shelf is.  Nice an shiny, and I had to work at getting the old vent to fit right. And here it is the first test fit of the sink.  Today I installed a few more pieces of pex, so now I can get on that tile work.
