Plumbing done, yeah! and frogs galore....

It's so amazing to see stuff be DONE, and the plumbing has been a long road, only one more thing to get done which is get the city to connect the new system and I'll have WATER....  Curtain rod for all the way around the tub, as the ones you can buy just aren't big enough, goal is to keep the curtain from sticking to the occupant of the shower, I guess those responsible for making curtain rods don't want to think, too bad, Mine is perfect. Ran the 1/2" PEX through that piece of copper pipe up into the ceiling, then a 45 bracket for the PEX in the attic, to a brass pipe which is now held in place by two copper straps, and connected to that rain showerhead, yippie.

Combining projects to eliminate waste....

With the threat of rain an thunderstorms(oh yeah use electric tools outside when there's lightening), I was still able to get stuff done on the skirt for the house and use the cut off cement board to install four tiles at the threshold for the back door. Also, was able to sweat some copper pipe to make my own shower curtain rod, the perfect size for the tub, or well just outside of the tub. I just couldn't find any good round curtain rods for a clawfoot tub that looked like they would not only work, but didn't cost over $200.  Here's without a flash, and it doesn't look to dark, I finished the right side skirt, still need to do the back, and I'll get around to the front one of these days.  I hadn't gotten it partially installed in the ceiling yet, but here it is, yes I still need to clean the tub.  Same time as the top pic but the flash didn't make it come out very well.  Here's the tile, just four of them, but if I step into the house

Plumbing, plumbing an more plumbing....

Sent back the shower set from amazon, their search feature just does not understand the concept of a claw foot tub, and that the holes are not even 5 inches apart. So bought a new faucet, that I will plumb a shower into it.  Here's the tube a few minutes after I heated it and then it slide like a hot knife through butter, just need some clamps to keep it tight, as with hot water it might weaken.  Also still need to clean the tub before I complete the faucet install.  It's not the Iron Throne, but it will do. The hot water tank, timer, and that expansion tank. Woot!
